The product consists of a biodegradable edible shell applied to fruits in a practical and low cost coating, which makes them increase their shelf life. Biopack has a solid particulate material and a special manual applicator. The product dissolves in water inside the applicator and is sprayed on the fruit. This solution impregnates the fruit and cover it after is dried, in a few minutes, a coating is generated on the fruit that protects it from microorganisms, oxidative atmospheres, reduces its moisture loss, enhances the flavor of the fruit and increases its shelf life.
