Based on our learning during this initiative we came across the following insights.
1)1 in 7 people on the planet or roughly 1 billion people go hungry to bed everyday.
2)40% of the total food produced is wasted either at the source itself or leaks through the faulty supply chain mechanism.
3)30-35% of global food crop fails due diseases and pests.
4)Average global income of a person is 2$/day whereas food prices have seen a constant increase.
