I'm a graduate of NC State University with a double major in animal science and statistics. During my undergraduate tenure I conducted independent research under the mentorship of the director for Duke’s Center for Quantitative Modeling, and completed summer internships with two of the world's leading research groups in swine behavior in Scotland in Australia. I also free-lanced as a product development intern with a veterinary instrumentation startup, focusing on the 3D modeling and rapid prototyping of iPhone adaptors for surgical equipment. I am currently using an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to complete a masters in livestock systems, with a focus on dairy systems. Livestock and computers are my two great passions, and I'm always looking for interesting projects that feature a bit of both.
