Our Mission

Our team mission is to build a sustainable agriculture practice, being agriculture students; that would help uplift the living standards as well as economic status of rural and marginalized farmers of the Asia especially Nepal. We want to develop an idea or help farmers adopt an agriculture practice already in use in wide range, to help them build up their standard of living, by the skills and knowledge we do have while studying our degrees. Our team is a group of agriculture students twitching with the desire to bring change in the present conditions of farming in Nepal, which is a leading example of the agricultural problems regarding food crisis of Asia.

Our Background

As mentioned earlier, we are a team of classmates studying agriculture in the beautiful country named Nepal. We want to participate in this challenge as it seems to be a perfect opportunity to learn and develop skills of tackling food crisis prevalent in Asia. We want to be able to contribute to the mitigation of food problems, which if applied could subsequently feed the world. We live in, as stated by the rest of the world, as a third-world country but not a single soul in my country believes so, within a time frame of few hours large micro-climatic variations can be observed, possessing a vast range of possibility in economic production of food crops. My country like many countries of Asia has an affinity to rice which is a necessary evil and we want to turn into a boon. We want to learn skills, present our ideas and views to a larger audience so as to be able to give something in return to a country which has given us so much. In short, all we want to do is learn better ideas to feed the world, apply our knowledge on a larger scale and if our idea stands out be happy with the knowledge that the world has become less starved since us.
