Use Case

For amplified productivity, farmers within these regions have to look beyond the big trend of mechanization and study the micro changes within it.To accomplish the task of feeding 9 billion people by 2050, we need to design more strategic, effective and low cost channels of distribution of agro-products for this consumer segment.Investments in agriculture must be made to look as attractive as possible with business processes designed to match the excellence of those in tech entrepreneurship and Wall Street.

Potential

providing the necessary mechanized tools also, introducing computerized monitoring and automated analytics processes to multiply the direct effect of this human labor capacity. The potential of effective distribution channels is one that is critical to the success of all agro-stakeholders. All of the excellence inputted in the primary farming process, are of no effect if the final consumers don’t have access the final products.Farmers in underdeveloped countries need a high level of guidance and monitoring using all necessary tools provided by agro-informatics

Business Case

Model Case 1Establishing businesses that cater for (out of season) scarcity of agricultural products. This concept can be explained from the viewpoint of a local food item in West Africa, Palm oil.Model Case 2 Adapting direct agricultural products as raw material in other industries. Model Case 3Developing complete industrial/Manufacturing processes that involve different kinds of farmers/agricultural practitioners at different stages.

Objectives:

  1. To developed a culture of more informed agricultural projects centered on intelligent social goals
  2. To design better business processes thereby making agriculture as a whole a more attractive investment window for investors
  3. To maintain old and open up new distribution channels for agro-products, to cater for all income classes

Our Mission

Nurtured Future is a team that revolves around developing solutions that solve today's food challenges and at the same time developing and applying similar practical and proactive methods to ensure that today's food challenges do not extend into the future or arise in it.

Our Background

Nurtured Future is based in Nigeria, and comprises of business and technology minded students working together in a prolific synergy to birth solutions to one of the most crucial problems facing mankind - Hunger. We believe that involuntary hunger is an enemy that can and should be wiped as soon as possible and with the same ruthlessness with which it has plagued our specie, especially women and children for so long. Nurtured is participating in this challenge because we believe that we food is universal language that all stomachs understand. We believed that increased productivity and happiness of the human race lies with such basic factors as good food and healthy nutrition for all. We see this not just as a privilege but as a right all should have. We are therefore willing to contribute our quota to the development of fruitful solutions in that direction - and if in the process we get $10,000 as a by product, well! we wont complain.
