Use Case

The project will be done by the governments through the facilitation of the embassies of the countries across the region. Thus each government will own a farm in different countries under the management of its embassies in those countries and the produce will be put under the custody of the states grain banks for consumption by its own people. The concept will ensure the sharing of ideas among governments. With climate variability, some countries receive high rainfalls while others are receiving low rainfalls but all suitable for different crops. Thus it will allow specific crops to be grown in suitable environments to minimize crop failure and ensure increased productivity. The ambassadors will collaborate with different agricultural experts to ensure productivity.

Potential

The concept will change the world by collaboration which will consequently result in an increase in agricultural productivity. The project outcomes will see an increased competitiveness among countries to produce by giving them a chance to showcase their capabilities at the same platform but in different environments. It will enhance the easy transference of agricultural techno-advancements across the region which leads to increased productivity. It will enable the utilization of underutilized productive agricultural land and the sharing of the risk of crop failure among countries allowing them to have alternative food stocks. It will ensure environment protection through the policy of “Protect our environment, Save your environment” to push countries to practice sustainable agriculture.

Business Case

The concept will ensure the smooth transfer of resources within countries which will guarantee productivity in host countries hence access and availability of food stocks in all countries to feed the 9 billion plus by 2050. It will also be up to states to determine whether to consume their own produce or to sell to their host countries depending on the state of food availability in the mother countries. Competitiveness will enable the states to take agriculture as a business and that will serve to increase productivity. It will enhance capacity, efficiency and effectiveness among different countries. While a country may fail to produce on a piece of land, others can over-produce on that same piece of land. It will save some foreign currency by limiting agricultural imports.

Objectives:

  1. To ensure the easy transference of agricultural technological advancements to all countries to increase agricultural productivity
  2. To ensure competitiveness among countries in the agricultural practice to increase agricultural productivity
  3. To enhance full utilization of underutilized productive agricultural land in a sustainable manner.
