Beaver Eats is a team of MIT students who are passionate about applying their engineering education for a social cause. We are mechanical engineers, product designers, computer scientists, and electrical engineers, but first and foremost, we are people. We have thrived from all the benefits and support with which our community provided us, and now we find ourselves in the best possible position to give back.
Beaver Eats is a project team with the MIT chapter of Design for America, whose focus is on applying human-centered design to local problems. Our team's specific focus on on tackling hunger in the Boston/Cambridge area. We are partnering with a local food rescue organization, Lovin' Spoonfuls, to address the social challenge of food security. We are participating in the TFF Challenge because it is an excellent motivation to direct our focus on the problem at hand, receive additional mentoring, and connect with other awesome teams and innovators.
