Vege Brunch Club

Less Meat More Vege, Make Yourself Counted!

We want people to consume less meat and more vegetable to reduce the negative effect livestock production.

Use Case

Changing the world is always a big topic, and may scare off some of us. We want to make everybody, unlike a biography or technique savvy, have the chance to  do something that counts. This Vege Brunch Club project will enable everyone that want to make a change to have the chance. Most of us wants to do something to contribute. But not every one of us can invent some device or technology. Simply by eating less meat and more vegetable, we can also make a great difference. Our vege brunch project is interestingly educational. And the low cost and its financial sustainability of the project make it possible.

Potential

In Malaysia, people consume chicken in a large quantity and on campus, it is not easy to find so many vegetable dishes and stuffed with chicken and some even need extra cellulose drinking to keep fit.  When we reach out the respondent (the sample is 500 students in University of Malaya), it is surprising that over 66% of them have no idea why eating more vegetables will save the world, and over 80% of them are willing to increase the vegetables percentage when they know it is helpful.  Our project is long-run  and plan to cover 2 universities every month. A student will influence a family. And when they do, the effect of our project can be magnified times

Business Case

We provide service to raise public interest on vegetarian food, in return we sustain our operation mainly from advertising and sponsorship income. We would look for sponsorship of the society and government to sustain our business by providing their brand exposure in return. We will accept advertisement placement at our online discussion group as a source of income. We will reduce the operation cost by hiring volunteer's staff in organize and maintain the function of Vege Brunch Club. We will also sell the merchandise like key chain, T-shirt, snack and etc designed by our staff to further arouse concept awareness and generate a sustainable revenue for the club.

Objectives:

  1.  1.Growing Covering Rate.  When the influence power is built up gradually, this project will spread to other countries.
  2. 2. See the Change in Supply. We hope to see the cafeterias in Universities in Kuala Lumpur offer more vegetable and less meat.
  3. 3. Create a trend of Cosuming Vegetarian Foods. We hope to see the general interest raise among university student toward vegetarian foods.
