We are citizens of a third-world country where observing and tackling societal crisis like malnutrition is a daily occurrence. The imminent calamity that the competition aims to combat has been our prevailing reality in Bangladesh. This gives our team a strong perspective and understanding of the reasons and consequences of food crisis. Therefore, we aim to formulate a plan that would be feasible and efficient enough to eliminate the associating problems with the growing population of the world. Feeding the incessantly growing number of people with limited resources in hand is the world’s largest challenge. Our mission is to maneuver a way around the crisis and create a long-term and scalable remedy that countries like ours can avail. In addition, our team has had substantial experience in terms of first-hand observation and execution of voluntary service. We firmly believe that we have the team and the idea to make feeding 9 billion people by 2050 a reality.
Our skills, experience and interest have brought us together to team up for TFF Challenge 2016. All of us will be graduating this December from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. We needed a platform which will enable us to launch and implement our idea at a rapid pace to keep up with the growing population of the world, and we found TFF to be ideal for that purpose.
Our team members assemble a range of skill set that has brought about versatility in our group dynamics. Nabeela has been an active member of Volunteer Associations of Bangladesh, where she conducted workshops and assisted younger volunteers in serving society. Being a professional writer, her Creativity enables the team to step out of the box and come up with unique ideas. Wasif has experience in working with poverty-based crisis. His strongest attribute is Feasibility Analysis - which led him to organize successful campaigns dealing with children’s education, strayed animal welfare as well as collection and donation of winter clothing for the underprivileged. Shehtaz has an entrepreneurial mindset and has already built a successful business from scratch. She stands for the team’s Leadership – delegating the right work to the right people and giving the team a direction. Afsara adds value to the team through her extensive knowledge of the bottom of the pyramid and supply chain. Her strong point is Idea Generation which provides useful insights when combined with her area of expertise. Lastly, Wais gives everything above a shape to be presented in to the world. A brilliant idea with a poor execution and showcase could bring the entire prospect down and that is where his Tech-Whiz competency could be the game changer. He stands for Execution – without which none of the above would matter.
Leadership, Creativity, Ideas, Feasibility and Execution have so far fit perfectly together to come up with an idea to change the world and we hope that that we get the chance to implement it through the TFF Challenge.
