Our Background

Hola! We Alejandra, Carolina and Mariana , 3 passionate Ecodesigners. We believe food security should go towards a holistic point view from our daily life where considerations like local resources, identity, culture and the participation of communities are the main tools for Codesign new strategies for achieving a sustainable food system. In that way, empowering communities will eventually produce products, systems and environments that are more sustainable and that can impact and be life improving. This project is the result of the analysis and understanding of the territorial conditions of the community of San Cristobal North neighborhood in Bogotá in collaboration with BioFuturo Foundation, where were defined needs and capacities related with the quality of nutrition and food security. Our work is focused in the systemic design methodology and blue economy vision that means there must be a profound understanding of territory characteristics, in order to project from the capabilities and relationship between actors, for a full and efficient management of resources and towards a scheme of zero waste, strengthening local economies and strong food security systems.
