The main objective of our team is working with the fair boxes, where food is stored, transported and sold. Our team is very concerned about hunger in the world, because we live in a country that is ranked as the tenth most parents who waste food, especially the transport and incorrect storage of organic fruits and vegetables. If we start thinking from small regions, we can reach some groups that are related to this problem. So we think of dealing with food waste. Waste is responsible for 1.3 billion tonnes of food that do not reach for families, and 50% of food is already lost in the handling and transport and 30% in marketing. So, as designers, we want to change this thinking of new crates proposals. We seek to find a solution to the organic fruits and vegetables have their high percentage of quality, so that they are all taken advantage of, without waste for lack of care for the same. Thus, we can take advantage of all the work of the farmer and reduce merchandise purchase costs, just the seller does not have expenses and losses with the losses of food spoiled.
Our esquipe is formed by two designers, who know the importance and care to think about the future of the population. Thus, we think of handle on one of the problems present in the world, which is directly linked to hunger: waste. With this questioning, and our desire to learn more and more, we are thinking of materials and processes that help in how we can minimize the loss of food due to poor positioning within the fair boxes and improve the handling and transport of the same. Thus seeking different solutions, which are mainly accessible to the seller and they can respond positively to our problem.
