Living Paradise on earth

“The truth is, there are places in the world that reflect paradise life on earth. See how the soil is fertile, the people are young and courage, the climate is viable, the weather is comfortable even if the story has dramatized the local progress due to the past land conflicts… One of these places is BENI”.

Fight hunger with Organic food to prevent Cancer and Diabets / Published January 11, 2017 by Da Ciku Mahinduzi

Fight hunger with Organic food to prevent Cancer and Diabets

The ULTIMATE way to fight against hunger in North-Kivu, DRC passes through agriculture to produce enough organic foods.
As far as nurishing the whole world is a long process that requies great production scales to feed many people as possible.
Even if several cereals are rich in vitamins, proteins, fact and energy; soybean is the top cereal of all because it plays many roles in feeding. It is an excellent cereal. Its transforming process leads to different products like soy powder, soy milk that set a complete alimentation for human.

Did you see how we can save the lives of vulnerable children and adults who miss proteins or do not have access to nutritious foods because of high prices...

We hope in what we are doing because what we do reflects what we believe in.*

Please, think about unhealthier children in BENI

*****Lack of nutritionnal education is as real as common in several families in Africa. People eat, not to strengthen their health but to get fool. They never mind about their healthcare but what interest them is the quantity of food than its quality*****

We really fight against nutritional ignorance because the people who ignore about what they consum are likely more dangerous for their healthcare or for their community's.

*****In DRC, several children are dying because they have a lack of nutritious food; Their organisms are unable to fight against microbes, bacterians and other internal diseases like diarrhea, ameba...Many of them are also affected by pollution: water pollution, air pollution...*****
It is the time to think about suppliment foods (like soybeans) that could help fighting against this scourage.

Malisho Partners Team is sharing a testemony of this child you can see on the photo below.

"Tears are coming from my eyes; I don't know to whom I can convey my needs as my parents have passed away during the previous massacres in Beni.
What I need now is to survive... Nutritious foods could help me to recover my health... So, I know that I'm not alone in crossing the hunger situation. There are several guys here... I'm still hoping about recovering my health..."

Children suffering from malnutrition / Published December 13, 2016 by Da Ciku Mahinduzi

Children suffering from malnutrition

'If every one is healthier, no body could need a Physician. And if we could all have access to organic and nitritious foods, there wouldn't be more deaths caused by hunger and malnutrition'

You may be living without knowing that there are people who are suffering from hunger and malnutrition even though their land is productive and fertile... The last massacres in Beni City have caused many consequences like ophans and widows who have no access to nutritious foods from their fields as far as they are fearing new attacks from rebels...

Morever, the fact of non access to field everlastings of rural population of Beni doesn't allow every child to access to nutritious foods; this leads to malnutrition of many.

Malisho Partners is a group of five students from CI-UCBC that aims in soybeans' production and transformation to feed more than 1,000 people in Beni City.

Our Mission

The province of North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo has endured years of war. Thousands of children suffer from malnutrition, despite the region's immense agricultural potential. This project will enhance the health of more than 1,000 people in the city of Beni--where our university is located--by providing vulnerable children and adults with nutritious soy products. Our vision is to expand soya production in the region, and to transform soya into milk and soya porridge powder. The soya residual byproducts will be used as oil cake for cattle feeding. Access to soy milk will be revolutionary for many people because few have access to fresh cow milk due to the absence of an electrical grid and thus refrigeration. This is an innovative project and an opportunity to feed children suffering from malnutrition in eastern Congo. It is a revolutionary concept that can be scaled to other parts of Africa where children have little access to dairy. This project utilizes appropriate technology that has minimal negative environmental impact.

Our Background

‘MALISHO PARTNERS’ is a group of five students from two different academic departments (Applied Sciences & Economics Agribusiness) at the Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo (CI-UCBC). We are passionate and committed to transforming our country through innovative agricultural practices.
