Tasnova Rifat Bangladesh Agricultural U, Bangladesh
Mission statement We believe that if we come up with new affordable ideas which are directly beneficial for the root level farmers then we could secure a hunger free world . We also believe that small farmers are the key to make the 2050`s global food challenge successful. As Bangladesh is a developing country, we have to spend a significant amount of budget in education, health, industrialization , woman empowerment and so on besides agriculture . We cannot afford necessary amount of money in agricultural research. So we have to bring more and more innovative but affordable ideas . We think this is not only applicable to our country but also other developing countries . Summary of the team Our team ``Empathy `` consists of four agriculture graduates from Bangladesh Agricultural University . We are from Bangladesh which is an agro-based developing country. We want to make ourselves prepare for 2050`s global food challenge . We want to develop ideas which will directly benefit the small farmers. what we stand for To overcome the 2050`s global food challenge priority should be given to the root-level farmers. We are very hopeful that we would be able to accumulate our knowledge and together we would come up with innovative ideas. As we have done our Bachelor in agriculture, we all are aware about the existing and upcoming challenges in this sector . Besides subject knowledge , We got many opportunities to work with the village farmers and gathered many invaluable experiences . From those field trips we realized that to develop our agricultural sector we have to work for the small farmers first because its the small farmers who are the driving force of our agriculture. So we want to do something that would be beneficial to the small farmers and change their lives. We believe that TFF will give us a great platform where we can shape our thoughts and ideas. TFF would act as a catalyst to flourish our ideas. We would be able to learn invaluable knowledge which would help us in our upcoming professional life. The opportunity to interact with other students from different countries will help us to cross cultural barriers and will infuse a fresh mind set. We are concerned about poor farmers , food waste, environment , bio-fuel. These issues would be in the priority list we desire to work for.
