It is a combination of uniqueness and innovativeness of the idea that no one in the world has ever thought about and also the passion we possess of transforming this idea in to a successful business venture. “Give To Get” was shortlisted as a top 45 finalist to attend the Innovation Bootcamp in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with other changemakers from across the Asia-Pacific region which was conducted as a part of “HLM3 Asia-Pacific Youth Innovation Challenge” (http://www.hlm3challenge.com/) held by the UNICEF Malaysia. Being able to be a finalist and the 7th best project of this international competition indeed explains its successfulness as this challenge included more than 600 applicants from 17 countries around the world with the passion to create a change in the world and be a changemaker and our team was one of the only two finalists whom got shortlisted as a finalist from our motherland Sri Lanka. Moreover, our team was able to refine the idea and come up with the ideal solution to improve the living style of low income families whom were experiencing financial difficulties through the online mentorship scheme conducted by Tandemic Malaysia which provided structure and guidance to develop our idea into a winning social innovation. Therefore, our highly motivated team will be extremely pleased if our application is evaluated in order to make our social innovation a reality due to such extraordinary achievements we have achieved not only in Sri Lanka but also in the international world.
