We believe every person should be able see and experience wildlife, not just in the zoos. We developed Duiker Farms as a conservational effort to decrease the hunting pressures on the duiker wildlife species and to feed farm-raised duiker as a protein source to a population of people in West-Central Africa.
After meeting in plant genetics class, Josiah Dallmann and Haley Bledsoe knew that they had the same dreams and goals. When Josiah shared that he used to own a duiker as a child when he lived in Cameroon, Africa, the idea of farm raising micro-livestock brewed between the two. They combined their livestock production, meat science, wildlife, and agronomy knowledge to create Duiker Farms, Premi-Yum Bushmeat. They are now married and aspire to move back to West-Central Africa.
