Local innovation centers for food security and food marketing

co.co is a system of local centers that increase the value of peasant products, giving new channels of sale and transformation of food.

Use Case

To make real Co.Co, we will start by applying this system in municipal areas of Boyacá-Colombia of maximum 50. 000 inhabitants like: Paipa-Sotaquira-Tuta, with big agricultural potential, analyzing its current situation by means of cases studies, to assign entrepreneurship projects that improve its nutritive safety.

Potential

After establishes Co.Co in bordering municipalities, there are created networks of efficient food security, which can go so far as to be climbed and interlace up to covering any department, country and like goal of our project, the world for 2050

Business Case

Our project is sustained in the price regulation with the production by means of the demand, this way the costs associated with waste on all the stages are eliminated and in turn a control of just price is had avoiding a monopoly on the market on the part of some intermediary actor. Giving like major result productive profitability and prices regulation. Likewise, across our program of emprendimiento place we will combine the skills and the knowledge of entrepreneurs, peasants, investors and consumers, for the constant feedback and to manage the continuous progress of the product.

Objectives:

  1. Create new sales channels for farmers and small producers and improve the profitability of Colombian agriculture
  2. Apply lean manufacturing in local food production to reduce all kinds of waste
  3. Encourage innovation in food products that promote food safety
