PANACEA

WE BRING YOU THE CHANGE.

PANACEA is a platform that allows farmers to book agricultural machinery, transport and storage on rent for a particular period of time.

Use Case

Agriculture is one of the most important occupations, technological advancements have took way more time than they should have to incite the changes required in this industry. One of the main problems with farming in India has been awareness and availability of modern machinery in agriculture industry. Farming is not essentially the most earning field of work and therefore most of the farmers never had access to expensive modern machinery and other technology in farming. Farmers never had the option of financial well-being but irrespective of whatever reasons that might be; it has still constrained farmers in India to work in the existing conditions without a room for development and advancements. Transport and storage are the other two major limitations for farming in India.

Potential

Agriculture impacts the lives of countless individuals and providing any kind of improvement in this field results in improvement in lives of millions of people. Our solution to this problem intends to develop a better, more efficient method of farming, providing better yield per unit area. Furthermore, provide a qualitative improvement of the farm produce and time conserving process of cultivating. Use of respective machinery in farms will result in an overall better farm that is more efficient than usual. A storage solution that can store farm produce for a required period of time will consequently allow farmer to earn a better price for his/her produce in the market when the cost for the produce is right.

Business Case

We intend to interconnect farmers with individuals or companies with machinery, storage or transport services that could help the farm drastically at very optimal charges, specifically affordable for the farmers. Payment solutions will also be provided with a provision to book machinery/storage/transport with an initial 30% payment of the total charges and paying the remaining amount at the time of selling of farm’s produce. There has to be certain nominal charges that are admissible for the service providers to work without losing money on it. In order to maintain business operations, 4% of the total transactions will be retained and introduction of basic subscription charges is imminent for service providers to work through the platform once the concept is practically viable.

Objectives:

  1. Emanating awareness among the farmers about all the machinery and the better solutions they can adapt in order to produce & earn more.
  2. Using technology to cope up with the proliferation of problems in agro industry & increasing the overall use of technology in agriculture.
  3. Enhance the overall yield per unit area to support the need for food all throughout the world by producing more food in the same farm.
