The aim of our organization is to use each and every roof of urban area to cultivate seasonal crops.

Use Case

In Nepal most of the people aged between 22 to 38 live. Generally youths are migrating to foreign land. Besides this urbanization is increasing day by day. Major cities here are losing their cultivation land or arable land due to urbanization. People are also not interested in doing farming because of less arable land in urban area. In rural area there is land but no infrastructure to continue the proper farming. So our methods of urban rooftop farming is inspiring and motivating people towards agriculture because they don’t have to go anywhere instead they can perform in their own house will also rise their economic condition and they will be able to eat organic foods which is very healthy for them.

Potential

This urban roof top farming if done properly will produce sufficient amount of vegetables and fruits which will be enough for that particular family. This small steps will definitely be helpful in increasing the production and to raise the economic condition of particular family. This urban roof farming also make a good use of waste plastic bags and waste bottles and jar.

Business Case

Our aim is to cultivate crops in each and every houses of city or urban area. We want every people to participate in the field of agriculture either directly or indirectly. We are making use of waste plastic bags, pots, jars and bottles which are non-biodegradable by planting small plants or by cultivating different types of flower or crops vegetables in that. Urban roof top farming is becoming trends nowadays in Kathmandu valley and other mainstream city like Pokhara, Birgunj. On the other hand, we are providing training to people about the types of crops to be cultivated in particular seasons. They also make a good use of plastic bottles and jobs. Urban rooftop farming can be a source of income also which definitely raise the economic standards of the people.

Objectives:

  1. To produce organic vegetables in every peoples home
  2. To make use of waste plastic bottles and jars
  3. To make use of open roof of the houses and to motivate people in agriculture.
