After rice and wheat, potato is the most important food crop in the world in terms of human consumption. Pests and diseases threaten global food security, causing losses every year. Several approaches have been studied to control potato diseases and there is a demand to minimize the use of fungicides in commercial crops. Our mission is to provide an accessible, effective, and sustainable package of biological solutions for promoting plant health and growing highly productive potatoes.
Our team consists of scientists focused in plant pathology. We have strong working relationships with multi-disciplinary laboratories at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa and the potato-producing sector assists our researches. We want to provide food crop sustainable solutions to diminish hunger worldwide in long-term approaches. We aim to fight plant diseases and promote plant health by using beneficial microorganisms to crops, harmless to human health, and compatible to ecosystems.
