Get Healthy

It is an alternative to reduce the rate of malnutrition in our country

The food supplement icomposition could be concluded that will greatly reduce problems of malnutrition

Use Case

The scenario of our idea is a sample of students from a rural area of a community in El Salvador, who on many occasions, either because they do not reach daily sustenance at home, or sometimes parents work long hours and there is no Attend, these are limited to eating

Potential

The supplement developed is aimed especially at children for the type of vitamins and minerals with which it was fortified, because in underdeveloped countries such as ours, children can not eat breakfast and often do not even eat for lack of food in their homes. it affects their growth and school performance

Business Case

The cost of the supplement is minimal adding one more characteristic of the advantages that it has, on the other hand we can emphasize that in the elaboration of this one will make use of an ingredient not exploited in our country and used for animal food which this can have more or equal value in human nutrition, providing multiple nutritional benefits.

Objectives:

  1. Develop a highly nutritious and economical product that can be included in the diets of many children
  2. Contribute to an idea that can be developed from the consequences that hunger itself generates in the world
  3. Incursion as a non-traditional innovative product that can be taken as a great alternative to feed on a large scale,

From the above, our task is to generate added value and be a factor of growth and development for our community, and international countries.

Our Background

We are participating in the Thougt for food challenge because in our country as in many others there is a high percentage of poverty which makes it impossible to have the resources and the availability of basic food. Adequate nutrition is important throughout life but is critical and vital during childhood to achieve adequate physical and mental development, therefore our goal is that the supplement developed is a good alternative to improve the nutrition of children and adolescents.
