Team All for Food and Food for all

Brasilia, Brazil

Our Team

Our Mission

Our team believes that ending food waste is of upmost importance to feed a hungry planet, since it is known that the current production of food would be enough to feed everyone who is struggling for their next meal if one third of it wans't wasted. Still, only one quarter of all the waste would feed people who are hungry in the whole world right now. So, we consider that new technologies must be develop to help reducing food waste while people need to be reeducated about what food is.

Our Background

The project consists on collecting organic leavings such as seeds, bark, bassage and stems into a Central of Food Production. These itens are culturally not edible, so it reprensents a rich source of nutrientes that is wasted everyday. After collected and selected, this itens are minimum processed (pelletized or freeze-dried). Later, it will be nanoencapsulated to increase the contact surface with guts, improving the absorption. So the project is able to reduce food waste and upgrade nutrition.
