Access to relevant, practical information is crucial in farm decision making. Our intention is to develop a mobile application that enables farmers to ask questions and get answers from experts and fellow farmers. This information is validated by both science and practice so that they can effectively solve the challenges they encounter on their farms. Through this farmers produce more food and contribute to feeding the ever growing number of hungry people in the world.
Our team comprises of; (i) Sharon Chebet, 22 year-old old university student, (ii) Dalton Kimutai, 24 years old and upcoming software engineer, (iii) Charles Kimani, 30 year-old radio producer. We are passionate about youth and agriculture. Youth make up a big proportion of the population. We think that if they are involved, we will produce more food. ICT facilitates this through sharing of experiences, practices and technologies that work and creating linkages with stakeholders in the sector.
